Old Bailey Open Space

The site is located to the west side of Old Bailey opposite the Central Criminal Court within the Newgate Conservation Area. Following a traffic management scheme which released a section of the highway for public realm improvements the City of London approved the creation of this new public space in the heart of the City. The scheme includes a major new water feature, new planting and seating and is set on three raised platforms in a contemporary design using granite for paving and walls.

This new public realm was officially inaugurated by the Lord Mayor in March 2006
