CompAir Ipswich

The CompAir site lies on a brownfield site on the edge of Ipswich Village, to the south of the River Orwell and its branch with the River Gripping. The site will be a mixed use, residential led development for 370 new homes with leisure and hotel uses related to its proximity to the river and the station.

Burns + Nice were commissioned for the design of the streets and public spaces, which try to link with the Ipswich Village quarter and the town centre by achieving safe and attractive green routes for pedestrians and cyclists. The development will strengthen the importance of the waterfront area as a local leisure facility for both new and existing residents of Ipswich.
