Crossrail Liverpool Street and Moorgate Urban Realm schemes approved

The City of London approved the Crossrail Schedule 7 submission for the urban realm improvements associated with the Liverpool Street Crossrail Station Moorgate and Broadgate ticket halls on 30th March.

The new station entrances at Moorgate and Broadgate will not only lead to new, spacious and fully integrated ticket halls, but will also improve the passenger experience of the external public realm. The urban realm schemes are based on proposals developed in consultation with the City of London, TfL, London Underground and other local stakeholders. They follow the City of London’s street design guidance and recognise the City of London’s ambition to create a coherent, civic place that will transform the public realm from spaces previously laid out as a conventional highway with mixed and sometimes unclear priorities, to one with greater pedestrian priority, and ease of interchange between different rail services.
