Burns + Nice specialise in developing strategies and designs to enhance the public realm.

We are an urban design, landscape architecture, environmental and transport planning practice, employing a multi-disciplinary team of professionals led by the founding Directors Marie Burns and Stephen Nice and senior staff, who have extensive experience of delivering a wide range of award-winning projects.

Our work is backed by experience gained on a wealth of projects and implemented schemes of all scales, varying from small scale spatial interventions to significant large scale projects such as the redevelopment of the Leicester Square City Quarter and Moorgate and Liverpool Street Crossrail Urban Realm Integration.

We believe in the value of holistic public realm design that is reflective of its intrinsic historic, spatial and social context. Our work aims to create well designed environments that embrace alternative and sustainable transport modes, encourage a healthy lifestyle and generate attractive and memorable places with a strong local identity and character for people to use and enjoy.

We appreciate the accelerating change in todays built environment and the key contribution that the public realm can make to deliver sustainable and liveable places.
